There are many stories out their about onions, and using them to help battle the flu and cold virus. Many from Blending up onions, and drinking it, to putting a cut onion on the table in every room in the house while you all are sick. Here is just one story about that:
In 1919 when the flu killed 40 million people there was this Doctor that visited the many farmers to see if he could help them combat the flu. Many of the farmers and their family had contracted it and many died.
The doctor came upon this one farmer and to his surprise, everyone was very healthy. When the doctor asked what the farmer was doing that was different the wife replied that she had placed an unpeeled onion in a dish in the rooms of the home, (probably only two rooms back then). The doctor couldn't believe it and asked if he could have one of the onions and placed it under the microscope. She gave him one and when he did this, he did find the flu virus in the onion. It obviously absorbed the virus, therefore, keeping the family healthy.
The moral of the story is, buy some onions and place them in bowls around your home. If you work at a desk, place one or two in your office or under your desk or even on top somewhere. Try it and see what happens. I am doing this during this flu season. I will post later to let you all know. Why don’t you try it. It can’t hurt.
Here is another thing that I was reading about blending onions:
The onion juice can have wonderful effects on flu virus and the common cold. You basically put the onions in a blender and blend until they turn into juice. The juice taste horrible, but if you can handle it and drink it. It will break up all the mucus in your chest and you will cough pretty hard for the next 5 to 10 min and all of the flem in your chest that is hard will come up. Then you basically feel like you just got knocked out so you take a nap for a 2 or 3 hours and you get up feeling very fresh. A few days later and your back to yourself. Sometimes you might have to do this routine 2 or 3 times over a few days for it to be very effective, but it does work.
If anyone has a story about an onion you would like to share please do so and leave a comment. Onions are cheap and inexpensive. What would you loose trying this. IF anything just a dried up onion woopee.

Erika Koch
This lady is my grandmother. She is almost 86 years old. I love this woman very much. During World War II she and her husband put my mother on a Red Cross train where they put a sleeping potion in hot chocolate and gave to the kids, so they would not tell the SS soldiers that they were going to go meet their parents on the other side of the border. Then they went up into the mountains and found a farm house where the people there helped them get to the border and cut through the barbed wire to get out of East Germany so they could make their way to the United States to give my mother a good chance at a great life.
I call this lady at least three times a week. We have great conversations about our lives, and what we are going through now. When ever I would call she would ask me. SO you still like boys huh? I would just change the subject, and go on to something else. Thank god at her age I am able to change the subject quick. I remember things that happened to us kids at an early age of three. Yeah that is early to remember things like that but my grandmother gets a chuckle that I remember that far back.
One day I was talking to her, and I told her how much I appreciated what she had done during the war. The hard decisions that she made to come to this country under threat of death was the heart of a very strong woman. I want her to know that I listen to her and remember her stories they mean a lot to me. So you see Erika Koch is who I look up to besides my parents. She taught me so much, and I will appreciate every minute I can talk to her till god seems fit to call her home to be with Grandpa again. I Love you Grandma Koch Your always in my thoughts, and heart.

I started to get phone calls from Premiere Loans This month and they have not stopped. After 8 phone calls one day I asked them to take this number off their call list. They did not. Because, they have bee still calling since last month. If you are having probelms with this company or any other company for that matter here is a link that you can go to to file a complaint to the FCC.

Many years ago when I moved to California, I started to go to a group to get to know others in the area with the disease and have some kind of a Social Life. I met a guy named Chris in this group, and eventually he thought that I would like his sister, and her husband Louis. Over they years we all had some good time. We have BBQ's a lot, and Louis would come over to my house many times throughout the week, and smoke with me. Louis is and will always be like a brother to me. HE and his wife were the best friends that anyone could ask for. When I had a problem I Could call and talk to her, and Louis. They would do the same. So when the moved to Texas it was hard for Tony and I to see them go. But, we knew that they needed to go. to have their family all together.
I got a call this morning at 3:51, but my phone was off so I called immediately. My thoughts were verified, and it hurts me to the bone to see the family go thru this. I wish that I was there so that I could put my arms around my brother Louis, and let him know that things will be all right. She had her family with her in the end, and that was the most important thing.
I will always remember her every day I take a breath. She was a very strong willed person, and raised her family so well, that they have been able to make it through anything that comes in their paths. God Bless you Louis.... and Brenna, Bryce, Paul, and Lee. I will always be here for you to talk to. Call me anytime.
